Utility Dispatchable Power

Terrajoule offers the first practical large scale solar power solution with bulk energy storage at a cost five times less than batteries, with no cycle limits and no degradation over time. The power is rapidly dispatchable over a wide dynamic range, so it provides rapid-ramp spinning reserve as well as load shifting and peak shaving capability, all in one technology. Since the solar generation is dispatchable at the distributed scale of 100 kW to 10 MW and more, it can be located where demand growth has exceeded transmission capacity.

Not only is Terrajoule the first practical solar power that removes grid penetration limits because its supply matches local demand, its dispatchability can mitigate the power gaps created by intermittent renewables such as PV solar panels and wind turbines, for much less cost than standalone storage technologies.
